Llanarth Court Hospital is a large forensic mental health hospital providing a secure environment consisting of medium, low and open rehabilitation settings for men and women with mental illness and or personality disorder
The Social Worker role involves being part of a small team of Social Workers who contribute to multidisciplinary team working. The role includes responsibility for identifying the social/non-medical needs for the patients and ensuring those needs are met. This role also includes detailed risk assessment & management, liaison with families & community networks. There is a key focus on Safeguarding / MAPPA liaison.
Knowledge & Skills
A degree in social work, registered with the General Social Care Council, together with detailed knowledge and comprehensive understanding of current legislation.
