My Best Friend Dog Care Andover is owned and operated by Danielle Marshall. We provide dog walking, doggy day care, home boarding, pet sitting and puppy care services in Andover and the surrounding areas including Ludgershall, Tidworth, Stockbridge, Middle Wallop, Sutton Scotney and Whitchurch.

Home boarding is so much nicer than traditional dog kennels and your dog becomes part of the family when he comes to stay. With a selection of dog carers I can cater or all shapes and sizes.

If you would rather your dog stayed in his own home or you have a puppy that’s too young for full walks I also offer a pet sitting and puppy care service.

Job description

Job Title: Dog Walker

Location: Abbotts Ann Down, Andover

· Salary: £11-12.50 per hour

£10 per night for the provision of home boarding facilities (optional but preferred and subject to the appropriate Council licencing requirements)

Mileage allowance for use of own vehicle when on My Best Friend Business.

Hours: Between 9.30am – 3.00pm (but you maybe required to work later) Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday with occasional weekend work required, variable depending on business needs and agreed a week in advance.

Role and Responsibilities:

The function of Dog Walker is to support the business owners in a variety of day to day activities with a focus on dog walking. Duties will include:

- Walking up to 6 dogs at any one time

- Collection and drop off of dogs before and after walks

- Pet sitting visits

- Providing home boarding facilities (optional but preferred and subject to the appropriate Council licencing requirements)

- Any other activity reasonably requested.

Candidate Requirements:

Above all the successful candidate should be passionate about dogs and must:

- Be physically able to safely handle up to 6 dogs at any one time

- Return a clean DBS check

- Have a full clean UK drivers licence

- Have experience of handling and caring for dogs

- Be confident and outgoing with the ability and drive to maintain the business’ high service standards

- Have own transport to attend work in Abbotts Ann Down, Andover. Thereafter duties will usually be carried out using a company vehicle.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 15 per week

Salary: £11.00-£12.50 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
I use my own dog leads that are washed regularly.
Majority of collections where the customers are home are done outside of their property.
Where access to their property is required masks and hand sanitiser is available.
