Job description
Social Work Assistant ( temporary ongoing ) role within the SGO and Private Fostering team. You will be working alongside social workers and family support workers providing support to SGO and private foster carers. The role requires home visits, advice, support and administrative tasks such as recording and processing DBS applications.
Social Work-Specific Knowledge & Skills
- Basic knowledge of social work practice.
- Basic understanding of the legislative framework applying to working with children and families in a statutory setting
- Ability to work professionally with people experiencing challenging personal circumstances.
- Communication Ability to communicate effectively to a variety of audiences through written, verbal and other means of communication.
- Team Work Ability to work flexibly with local and wider team and in partnership with other professional agencies to achieve overall team goals.
- Record Keep An ability to accurately record information in different formats.
5 years employment references and Enhanced DBS clearance will be required.
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary contract

Salary: £13.70 per hour
