The team
Our ITV Commercial team is responsible for bringing in the £1.9bn worth of advertising that helps fund ITV's programming. The role
We have an exciting new opportunity for a Social Video Editor to join our Digital Partnerships team on a 6 month fixed term basis in London. You may work non-standard hours to deliver out on some clipping commitments.
As Social Video Editor, you will work as part of the wider ITV Commercial team and will collaborate with our production teams across a rotation of ITV’s biggest and best shows.
You will lead in the ideation, management and repurposing of existing video assets for social channels - inclusive of Snap, Meta, Twitter & YouTube - in order to deliver maximum revenue. You’ll partner very closely with the ITV Content and Digital teams to ensure that assets are produced to a consistently high standard, delivering value at every opportunity.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Clipping high quality video output; tailored to each Social platform; for a number of our shows in a timely fashion.
- Managing the delivery of assets, optimisation and monetisation reporting across Snap, Meta, YouTube and Twitter.
- Confidently be able to breakdown series length material; making condensed edits of Best Bits, highlights or funny moments.
- Stay in close communication with the Digital Partnerships Manager to manage deadlines and edit all campaigns according to client notes.
- Continuously discover and implement new platform formats and best practices to champion innovation.
Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)
- Proficient at video editing, using software including but not limited to the Adobe Creative Suite (with an emphasis on Premiere Pro, After Effects and Photoshop).
- Experience in managing and producing content assets and packages for major brands.
- A keen understanding of digital technologies, social media platforms, websites, apps and content production.
- Demonstrable passion for and experience in social video content production.
- Experience of using Grabyo, Twitter CMS, Meta CMS, Snap CMS is highly beneficial.
Other things we’re looking for (key criteria)
- Excellent knowledge of commercial content regulations through digital and social channels.
- Ability to create content under tight deadlines that meet client creative and delivery demands.
- Excellent attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work across multiple projects simultaneously, and under occasional time pressures while creating high calibre creative content.
- Strong ability to formulate creative ideas specific to social platforms.
- A passion for social-first content.
