ABOUT THE ROLE & APPRENTICESHIP
The purpose of this role is to promote JD Foundation through social media content creation and management. Specifically, communicating with internal and external stakeholders to promote JD Foundation and charity partners messaging and campaigns. Ultimately, supporting the goal of increasing community size, engagement, and charity awareness.
This role will be based within the People HR Team, but will work closely with our Creative Studio, Social Media & Charity teams – helping develop skills and strategies to ensure best practice is implemented.
The successful candidate will complete a Digital Marketing Level 3 Qualification. (Plus, functional skills if no exemptions).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain a JD Foundation content calendar - ensuring content shared regularly on the relevant channels.
- Support, pitch, create PR/Social Media briefs
- Support the Senior Social Media Exec with creation and implementation of social strategy and brand guidelines
- Develop content ideas and engaging storytelling for internal use, ensure colleagues feel communicated with and engaged with the business.
- Ensure appropriate tone of voice is used across relevant channels.
- Help create engaging content, working closely with the studio team to ensure we continue to develop and evolve content strategies.
- Carry out campaign ideas that will help improve follower numbers and interaction figures across all channels.
- Work closely with charity partners, developing strong relationships to ensure you understand their charity mission and present this in the most suitable way internally/externally.
- Report on content performance, across all channels.
- Monitor all channels, ensuring comments are responded to in a timely manner.
- Attend events on behalf of the business (internal and external), and report on these for social media.
- Continually monitor relevant competitors and inspirational sources.
- Create and present monthly reports on metrics with performance related insights
- Create, manage and support with paid media campaigns and assets to increase awareness and reach of posts
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE NEEDED
- Strong attention to detail
- Good IT skills experience Microsoft Office
- Great verbal and written communication skills
- The ability to work as part of a small team in a fast moving environment.
- A willingness to learn new skills.
- Creative mind with a can do attitude
- Self-motivated and resourceful
- Interest in Social Media, Communications or Marketing
- Willing to work occasional evenings, weekends (when necessary)
- Prior Adobe or Canva knowledge preferred
- Prior social media content creation experience would be advantageous. (This could be personal experience rather than commercial).
