Job description
Balfour Beatty Vinci is recruiting for Site Engineers on the HS2 project based in Birmingham working on the delivery the Civils and Structural works in relation to the tunnel project, you will be involved in all major civils and concrete structures associated to the TBM reception box, concrete structures, excavation works, deep drainage etc.
What you'll be doing:
Identifying hazards and contributing to the development of Safe System of Works- Reading and determine information from drawings, schedules and specification to carry out site duties including setting out on site
- Completing Quality Check Sheets and production of information for Handover Documentation
- Maintaining accurate records such as daily diary, photographs, records of site discussions
- Producing quantity surveys Producing accurate daily diary of resources, including labour, plant, materials, subcontractors and outputs
- Producing weekly measures, take offs and schedule materials accurately
- Regularly liaising with the client and subcontractors
- Liaising with other Sections to ensure any clashes on site are managed to ensure a smooth flow of work
Who we're looking for:
- Previous work experience as a Site Engineer
- A formal qualification in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Previous experience working on projects in earthworks, heavy structures or drainage is desirable but not essential
