Are you committed to delivering a high quality, client focused service? Are you experienced at motivating a team and now looking for the next challenge? If you answered yes, then this could be the role for you.
Single Homeless Project is one of London’s leading homelessness prevention charities and a dynamic and growing organisation changing 10,000 lives every year across London - from supporting people in crisis, to helping them take the final steps towards independence and employment.
We are seeking someone to fill our Service Manager post at our Islington accommodation service. It is a 30-bed accommodation service for men, women and couples who face multiple disadvantages. It is likely that clients referred to the service will have been rough sleeping and require a flexible multi-agency approach, to support them to navigate services and improve their chances of successful Move-on from the Project.
The hostel itself is a colourful, newly refurbished building with group spaces for activities which are run regularly. We adopt a trauma informed approach, and strive to maintain a warm, homely and dynamic client focussed environment.
We are looking for someone to spearhead service delivery, and to generate innovative approaches to working with multiple disadvantages both within the team, and in terms of the service vision and its impact on wider systems.
At Single Homeless Project, we welcome and encourage applications from people of all backgrounds and are committed to having a workforce that is made up of diverse individuals, skills, experiences and abilities. Due to current under –representation at management level, we particularly encourage applications from individuals within our Black and Asian communities.
Closing date: 23rd January 2023 (at Midnight)
Interviews to be held: 2nd/ 3rd February 2023
This post will require an Enhanced DBS check to be processed for the successful applicant.
Our attractive benefits package includes:
- A salary increase after successfully completing six month's probationary period
- A 37.5 hour working week including flexible working hours (core hours are 10am – 4pm) in non-accommodation services
- 25 days annual leave, increasing annually to the maximum 30 days (plus paid Bank Holidays),
- A contributory pension scheme: Single Homeless Project will contribute the equivalent of 5% of your annual salary
- Staff Health Cash Plan and discounts scheme
- Comprehensive and integrated training programme designed specifically to develop the skills and knowledge involved in our work
Single Homeless Project is actively committed to equal opportunities and the promotion of diversity and inclusion, in all of our services and workplaces. We are also Disability Confident Committed and are IIP Silver accredited.
