Job title: Service Lead
Location: Hybrid Bedfordshire & Milton Keynes (Travel across the two areas will be required)
Salary: £31, 000
Hours: 37.5 hours pro-rata if part-time (Flexible hours incl evenings and weekends)
Reporting To: Contract Manager
The Role:
- The Service Lead will ensure the weight management programmes are delivered according to the terms of the contract across Bedfordshire & Milton Keynes and will achieve the KPIs within the defined budget.
- The Service Lead will be responsible for leading local partnerships and engagement work
- The role will ensure that the systems are in place to ensure enough individuals are referred to the programme and that these programmes are delivered to a high standard to achieve positive outcomes for the individuals involved, in a cost-effective manner.
- The Service Lead will be responsible for overseeing the work of the team ensuring efficiency
Key responsibilities:
Manage the team
- Manage the team to:
- Liaise directly with the Contract Manager to ensure the effective delivery across the service.
- Be involved in monthly team meetings working to the Performance Management and improvement framework.
- Have monthly 1:1 meetings with all service Delivery Leads with the following focus:

Facilitate appraisal process for all staff in line with company policy
Performance Management
- Regularly monitor with the Contract Manager the KPIs and the overall success of the programme.
- Work with the Contract Manager and service coordinators to achieve the KPIs and the overall success of the programme.
- Work with the Contract Manager to ensure timely and accurate reporting of service KPIs required by the commissioners and produce management and financial reports on request.
- Deliver programmes and groups where needed or requested. Up to 20% of capacity to allow 80% of capacity for management and engagement
