Role: Patient Coordinator
Salary: 22,500
Location: Central Manchester
Working hours: 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday. 1/4 weekends
Pall Mall Medical is a rapidly growing private health care provider based in the North West. We have city centre clinics in Manchester & Liverpool, where we deliver predominantly GP & Consultant appointments; and we have a purpose-built hospital in Newton-le-Willows where our Diagnostic facilities are located.
Responsibilities:
- Greeting patients and answering questions about services and procedures
- Entering patient information into electronic health records system (EHR) for all new patients
- Collecting payments from patients for co-pay, copay, and prescription co-pay
- Ensuring that all patient paperwork is complete and accurate upon discharge from the practice
- Scheduling follow-up appointments for patients who did not receive treatment or results of tests within the time frame allotted for the patient.
- Communicating with practice staff regarding any issues or problems that may arise in the patient experience or during communication.
- Performing other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
- Ensure all the appropriate clinical and administrative standards are documented and followed, including patient health & safety, financial compliance and that risks are effectively managed (to include CQC compliance)
- Efficiently book appointments, logging all enquiries and conversions on Pall Mall Medical’s extranet and medical management software systems
- Deal with all enquiries professionally, proactively and in a timely manner (specifically: telephone, online, walk-in, 3rd party enquiries, including internal and external referrals)
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding and knowledge base of all products & services (including pricing), clinical staff (including GPs and consultants) such that patients are fully aware of what Pall Mall Medical can offer – this includes cross/up selling of services to patients
- File, scan and maintain patient records and correspondence on Pall Mall Medical’s medical management system and CRM in a secure and accurate manner, ensuring all confidential information is dealt with appropriately. This includes test results and clinical letters
