The role
We are looking for a highly technical Sales Specialist to join our Sequencing Solutions sales team. Responsible for building and maintaining effective customer relationships, your aim will be to maximise sales of the Roche Sequencing, qPCR and NAP product portfolio and services of Roche Molecular Systems in the Life Sciences customer segment. You will be accountable for sales of Roche’s Sequencing, qPCR and extraction systems portfolio, including all reagents, in Cambridge accounts, and parts of the East Midlands and East region of England.
The focus will be Top Research institutions centred around Cambridge, Nottingham, Leicester areas, including the management of the tender response process, and leading and implementing the territory strategy for Roche Sequencing Solutions products.
As a Sales Specialist, you must be customer focused, understanding the customer purchasing process and providing onsite customer presentation, training and pre and post-sales support.
You will be expected to maintain and communicate a high level of market and product knowledge and to aid the development of marketing strategy and marketing plans, aligning with Business Unit and Company strategies.
Your profile
Key skills/experience
Educated to MSc Degree or higher in the field of life sciences subject (Genetics, Biochemistry or Molecular Biology) or equivalent, you possess NGS laboratory experience with a clear understanding of qPCR and NA extraction techniques. The experience of hands-on NGS techniques and the understanding of NGS bioinformatics is not essential, but it would be an advantage.
Resilient, tenacious with strong negotiation skills within the scientific market, you have a strong track record in sales territory management. Your excellent communication skills enable you to build strong partnerships across multi-disciplinary teams internally and externally.
With a strong problem-solving ability, you will understand barriers to acceptance of new solutions and be able to drive positive sales outcomes. With a high level of organisational skills and flexibility, you will drive commercial excellence on your territory while using the latest digital sales engagement tools.
Full training will be provided and you should either live within the territory or be willing to relocate.
