We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Band 2 HCA to join our friendly, professional team in our Pre Assessment Department. The department has recently embarked on an exciting service update and improvement journey providing patients with a service that is both Nurse-led and digital. We prepare patients for a variety of surgical and interventional procedures, including General Surgery, Orthopaedics, ENT, Maxilla- Facial, Breast, Urology and Ophthalmic. We are seeking individuals who can demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to be a quick and enthusiastic learner with a personal drive to ensure our commitment in the delivery of a high standard of patient care. Phlebotomy and the ability to undertake 12 lead ECG’s is desirable but not essential as further training will be provided. Patient facing experience is essential and the ability to work under your own initiative whilst being a good team player. You will be fully supported with a supernumerary period, development framework with competencies and an identified mentor for your first few weeks with us. We currently work Monday to Friday between the hours of 7.30 and 17.00. You will be required to work various shifts to cover this service.
