Fundraising Co-ordinator
Salary: £34,649 pa, pro rata & DOE – 2-year FTC
Hours: 22.5hrs per week- 3 days
Office Location: Tower Hamlets, London with expectation to travel in Bedfordshire, Luton, Newham, and Hackney regularly.
Holiday: 27 Days + BH (pro rata)

The Role:
The Fundraising Co-ordinator will be employed by Compass Wellbeing and will work primarily to develop income generation through active fundraising. A key aim of the role includes operationally manage the day-to-day fundraising activities and ensure delivery of the fundraising plan set by the Charity Committee.
The role will include nurturing relations with commercial and charitable organisations to attract sponsorship and donations; and seeking out trust funds and submitting successful applications. A core part of the Fundraising Manager’s role is seeking out grant opportunities, writing and submitting well-written grant applications in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
The post holder will be accountable for building and managing relationships with individuals as well as organisations to ensure successful delivery against both activity and financial goals. This will require managing a schedule of regular appeals and fundraising events that are in line with the trust’s priorities.
Key Accountabilities:
- Drive income & achieve targets by increasing the Trusts charitable fund profile
- Develop & implement a local funding plan
- Maximise fundraising income through creating innovative approaches that build income through the growth & development of local charity partnerships
- Work effectively with local media to maximise awareness and income
- Represent the ELFT Charitable Fund to a range of stakeholders
- Monitor, manage, and assess events, campaigns, and funding strategy to ensure successful delivery against financial goals
The Candidate:
- Educated to degree level/ or have equivalent experience
- Proven record of fundraising, achieving income & activity targets from both community & corporate streams
- Practical understanding of fundraising & charity regulation/legislation
- Demonstratable experience of working within a community/voluntary sector
- Strong MS Office skills & excellent communication/interpersonal skills
- Problem solver & creative innovator
