An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Project Manager to join a growing IT Department operating in a modern, fast pace and disruptive industry.
The person in this role is accountable for the delivery of multiple, concurrent business change projects that also have a technical aspect. They will work closely with business stakeholders, third party clients and internal teams and be responsible for managing the successful planning, communication and delivery of products and projects.
The Group uses cloud based technology with no legacy on-premise data centres or servers, a cloud ecosystem.
This individual will have a diverse background in delivery and project management frameworks, be an excellent communicator and possess great vendor management skills.
- Delivery of the major inflight business change projects
- Oversee other smaller initiatives and run new projects as required.
- Chairs the weekly SteerCo, that prioritises work, approves new initiatives and reviews the upcoming releases.
- Responsible for all aspects of the project lifecycle, leading and driving the project through to delivery.
- Work closely with the wider business to identify project requirements including benefits, risks, timelines, and costs.
- Manage, communicate, and escalate project issues, as needed, to ensure timely and successful resolution.
- Manage the project work using the best tools, and making sure the right assets get created.
- Create and update project plans, monitor and ensure project progress remains on track, within timeline, requirements.
- Provide guidance on revised changes and proactively assist in identifying, managing, and mitigating project risks.
- Manage project delivery using internal systems, ensuring that project documentation is accurate and up to date.
- Regular project reporting to key stakeholders/wider business as to updated project status and delivery.
- Conducting regular reviews during project and service transition with customers and key stakeholders.
- Engage the project owner, clients, third parties and project stakeholders throughout the duration of each project, developing positive and long- lasting relationships.
- Be proactive in identifying systems / business process improvements.
- Support the wider IT team to facilitate the working operations of the business.
- Ensure any operating processes are robust and communicated to customers and internal teams.
- Continual service improvements on the services being provided.
