National Services Division (NSD) plans, commissions and performance manages high quality services, programmes and networks for the NHS in Scotland. It facilitates service change across NHS Scotland to ensure consistent, equitable provision of high quality, safe, effective, person-centred services to meet the needs of the population of Scotland.
Within NSD the National Strategic Network Teams provide networks with consistent, high quality managerial and strategic support to ensure they achieve aims and objectives agreed through national commitments supported by Scottish Government. We also facilitate links to integrate networks into operational management and local, regional and national planning structures within and beyond healthcare.
The Post/ Candidate:
The Senior Programme Manager will be responsible for providing leadership and oversight of a number of Managed Clinical Networks in the Scottish Cancer Network.
The ideal candidates will have strong experience in health service management, planning of services, programme management and quality improvement.
This is a challenging role that requires excellent skills in leadership and managing change in a complex, and dynamic environment. The successful candidate will be part of a senior management team within the NSD who support each other. The posts will also deputise for the Associate Director as required.
Location and Working Pattern:
This post is based in either Gyle Square, Edinburgh or Meridian Court, Glasgow.
However, it should be noted that NSS is currently in the process of relocating from Meridian Court to nearby Delta House, 50 West Nile Street Glasgow G1 2NP.
Please note that we currently operate a hybrid working policy so staff can also work from home.
The role is Monday to Friday, 37.4 hours per week.
It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with NSS.
