Band 6 MRI Radiographer advert
Full time 37.5 permanent
Working 4 days per week, 8am – 6pm out of 7(including weekends), plus on-call out of hours.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, highly motivated Radiographer to join the MRI team at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Oxford.
We have recently installed 2 new state of the art scanners; a Siemens 1.5T Sola and a Siemens 3T Vida.
In this post you will be trained to perform a wide range of mainly musculoskeletal diagnostic procedures for adult and paediatric outpatient and inpatient settings.
As a Senior MRI radiographer, you will be a key part of the imaging team ensuring that our service user’s needs are met through the delivery of high-quality compassionate care.
The main duties of this role are to assist in the provision of an efficient MRI service; to perform MRI procedures according to Trust, Departmental and statutory regulations; to work as part of a professional radiography team providing a high-quality diagnostic service; to maintain a sensitive and person-centric approach to our patients; to maintain a safe environment within the MRI unit.

This role involves assisting the Superintendent MRI radiographer with the supervision of staff and students providing comprehensive training. You will encourage the highest professional and technical standards in all staff by personal example and constructive feedback.
Applicants will hold the appropriate BSc or equivalent qualifications and ideally have at least 2 years’ experience in MRI. Some knowledge of specialist musculoskeletal MRI would be an advantage. You must have excellent communication skills and be able to work on your own initiative as well as working as part of a team.
Participation in the out of hours on-call rota is required.
