Job description
We are looking for someone who has a passion for artistry and creativity whilst also being a friendly and welcoming face!
This role reports to the Home and Lifestyle Manager and Supervisor. As an Assistant you will be responsible for supporting the operation of the Potting Shed, this fantastic new pottery painting venue and the Home and Lifestyle store!
Your love and knowledge of crafts and creativity will shine through, selling and serving with personality is a must for this exciting role. Supervising young children and facilitating creativity through painting while also creating a welcoming and well run space for adults and parents alike. Working with the supervisors and store manager you will offer great service, help with daily running of the store and ensure every body leaves with a smile on their face.
This is very much a customer-facing service role, so having an outgoing personality will mean you entertain and ‘wow’ customers daily. Either working in the creative painting spaces, serving at the till or making drinks and serving food at the mini café bar, you will be fun and friendly whilst actively up-selling through your knowledge of the products and services.
Providing exceptional service is what will make this retail space stand out from the crowd. From the moment a customer enters the site you and the team will welcome them like friends, taking care of them every step of their visit and beyond. You will be fully trained in the working of EPOS till systems and helping to create a fun and relaxed atmosphere for the customer journey.
By being outgoing and confident, speaking with and hosting groups, demonstrating, and assisting children with their painting, will come easily to you.
Being a team player, you will attend regular training sessions, embrace new ideas and work with others to achieve consistently high standards. You may also be required to work the occasional shift in our beautiful Home and Lifestyle store and will engage with the current team on a daily basis.
