Job Description


As a Language Services Content Manager, you will be responsible for managing all language, transcreation and translation project planning and delivery, working collaboratively with your account management, planning, creative & production team colleagues, and our pool of freelance linguists and writers. As a subject matter expert within your respective area of Language Services, you’ll own and be accountable for projects, whilst also supporting other Language Services Content Managers to ensure the team is collectively driving projects through to successful execution, and producing the highest quality of localised content, all on time and within budget.

Responsibilities:

  • Language Services subject matter expert, providing support and guidance to other Content Managers with their own Language Services projects
  • Overseeing day-to-day transcreation / copy origination projects, serving as primary contact between suppliers, internal teams and end client with ultimate goal of ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining positive working relationships
  • Inter-connected working with your own team members as well as with colleagues across the teams, assisting as required with any transcreation tasks, projects and contributing your knowledge of language
  • Analyzing client information and full campaign briefs, schedules and defining the transcreation / or localization approach
  • Accountable for project status, ensuring transcreation quality and service always meet expectations. Quality Assurance of all projects delivered to client
  • Be able to build estimates to supplied rate card along with bespoke costs under time pressures with short notice.
  • Identifying new strategies, approaches & workflows for your account for continued improvement and reporting these to account or LS Lead as applicable
  • Attending client and internal meetings as necessary to discuss projects briefs / requirements

Qualifications
  • Qualifications - BA or MA in Translation, Localization or similar language qualification or experience
  • Proven experience in a transcreation project / account management role
  • A thorough understanding and genuine enthusiasm for marketing transcreation and translation
  • Understanding and appreciation for communications, in terms of media channels and the digital nature of modern media
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills in English and the ability to identify details specific to you from general campaign briefs
  • Adept at building relationships at all levels both within the business and with our clients
  • High level of organization and attention to detail with brilliant multi-tasking skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines so we deliver on time
  • Cool and calm when working under pressure along with the ability to anticipate – and solve – problems
  • Be a trusted colleague who inspires confidence in successful delivery of the project
  • Good team player – collaborative but also a good self-starter, able to work independently
  • Strong sense of responsibility and ownership and a commitment to delivering best practice and value
  • Flexible approach to working hours
  • Periodic travel might be required; must hold a valid passport
