Salary: £43,516 to £46,549 per annum (£26,462 to £28,306 pro rata for part time)
Contract Type: 12 month fixed term contract
Working Pattern: Part time (22.5 hours per week)
Location: Based primarily at Durban House, Durban Road Bognor Regis West Sussex PO22 9RE with requirement to work from County Hall, West Street, Chichester, PO19 1RQ (Hybrid and Flexible Working)
All West Sussex County Council (WSCC) employees have a WSCC location as their contractual work location, however we do operate a ‘Smarter working’ approach, this is something that you agree locally with your manager, for what works best for you, your role, and your team. The Opportunity
You will play a crucial part in the function of the Online Service Delivery team. You will set and manage the standard of content design and ensure online content is consistently published to corporate standard.
As a part of this senior leadership role, you will ensure a high-quality customer experience, through the provision of content that is accessible and enables users to self-serve.
Working closely and managing a small team of Content Designers and Web Editors. You will ensure resources are effectively deployed through a defined project plan and organising associated Agile ceremonies such as Sprint Planning and Stand ups, to meet related objectives by required deadlines.
About You
You will be a passionate advocate for accessible and engaging digital content and be persuasive and collaborative with a wide range of stakeholders.
You will have keen attention to detail, be able to ‘write for the web’ and have excellent writing and grammar skills.
You will be comfortable working independently and be at ease in this fast-paced, agile environment with rapidly changing deadlines, workloads, and priorities.
Customer service is at the forefront of the skills you possess. Alongside this, you will mentor and train other content designers, supporting the growth and development of the Online Service Delivery team.
