Hambleton Hall is renowned for having the longest retained, single, Michelin star in the UK, earned and maintained thanks to Aaron Patterson, our Executive Chef Director, and his amazing team's tireless attention to detail from the stocks that form the base of all sauces to the pastry chefs who create everything from scratch daily.
You will be joining a team of professionals who are committed to providing our guests with an experience to remember and the reason they keep coming back for more!
As our Senior Chef, you will:
- Be passionate about food, creative with attention to presentation and style.
- Assist the Head Chefs/ Senior Sous Chef in managing food preparation and production, ensuring our high standards of quality and consistency are met every time.
- Be hands-on, happy to assist, monitor and oversee all food preparation and operational kitchen activities.
- Ensure that work is conducted in a clean and tidy way as well as ensuring legislative and government guidelines are adhered to including the Food Safety Act, Health & Safety at Work Act, COSHH and Fire Regulations (up to date training is provided).
- Have at least 2 years’ experience of working at a similar level.
You will be a team player, able to deal with the pressure of working in a very busy kitchen and strive for quality and perfection in every single dish. You will encourage the junior members of the team in their training and development and be able to demonstrate initiative, flair and possess excellent customer service skills.
In return you will receive:
- A competitive salary.
- Staff discount at Hambleton Hall, Hambleton Bakery and Harts Hotel, Nottingham.
- Staff accommodation may be available.
- Staff meals.
- Employee Assistance programme.
- You will work in one of the most beautiful locations in Rutland, with Rutland Water on our doorstep with many attractions – cycling, walking, sailing and climbing
If you are looking for your next challenge, the opportunity to work in a Michelin starred restaurant, working with a dedicated team of professional chefs, using the finest ingredients and working towards your next promotion, then this role is perfect for you.
