Could you help us to creatively bring to life what it is like to work and volunteer at one of the UK’s largest charities, helping to inspire people to join our movement?

The British Red Cross is a globally recognised charity that has been providing assistance to people in need for over 150 years. Despite our reputation, we understand that many people are unaware of the full range of work we do and the diverse opportunities available to work and volunteer with us. As a result, attracting top talent can be challenging, which is why we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Brand Manager to showcase the unique experience of working and volunteering with one of the world's largest humanitarian organisations.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop and implement a comprehensive branding strategy that highlights the culture, values, and opportunities available, inspiring more to join our movement. You will work closely with our dedicated teams to identify and share powerful stories that demonstrate the breadth of work we do, as well as creating compelling marketing materials and communications that effectively engage staff and volunteers.

As Senior Brand Manager your day-to-day role will involve bringing our values to life in the following ways:

  • Supporting Talent Acquisition Partners to attract the talent needed to achieve our strategic goals.
  • Implementing innovative ways to showcase what it is like to work and volunteer with us.
  • Creating a safe and inclusive environment where under-represented groups can share their perceptions of us.
  • Being compassionate in your approach and building strong relationships with stakeholders

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in a branding or marketing role and delivering organisation-wide brand strategies to drive growth.
  • To be innovative to come up with solutions to help us overcome challenges we face
  • The ability to generate and create engaging content.
  • Experience in conducting research to understand branding perceptions.
  • Collaboration skills to work with various internal teams such as marketing and social media.
  • The ability to keep up-to-date with external trends and identify how we can stand out as charity of choice.

In return for your commitment and expertise, you’ll get:

  • Holidays – You’ll get 36 days annual leave (including bank holidays) and the option to buy an additional 5 days leave.
  • Pension scheme– We offer up to 6% contributory pension.
  • Flexible working – We will do what we can to make sure you work in a way that suits you
  • Career and Learning Opportunities – We are one of the UK’s largest charities and have a wide range of career opportunities. We also provide comprehensive learning opportunities for staff to develop themselves.
  • Discounts – You’ll have access to brilliant discounts through the Blue Light Discount Card and our own employee benefits platform.
  • Wellbeing Support – Staff wellbeing is always priority. You’ll have access to mental health and wellbeing support.

At The British Red Cross, we pride ourselves on our diverse workforce, and ensuring we have an inclusive environment for all our staff and volunteers. We remain committed to ensuring our teams can bring their true selves to work without risk or fear of discrimination. We do this through regular data reporting, and the support of our internal Race and Equality Network (REEN), LGBT+ Network, our Disability and Wellness Network (DAWN), Gender Network, Carers Network and Youth Network.
