Agile Delivery Manager - Inside IR35
Contract Term: 12 months
Contracting Authority: DWP
Location: Hybrid - Newcastle or Leeds
In Retirement Services, we are responsible for running and transforming digital service. We ensure people over state pension age can plan for and secure all the support they need to live a life without unnecessary hardship.
The Common Capabilities team are responsible for the iterative development of strategic reusable components. These components help with the transformation of services across DWP.
Every year we pay over £120 billion to 18million DWP customers, including 1 million overseas customers residing in 229 countries.
We are a key part of DWP's modernisation story with commitments to deliver end-to-end service transformation across the support we provide to citizens and DWP staff.
You will join one of our high profile, complex teams to represent all aspects of delivery. You will support a delivery team focusing on the needs of the people and their outcomes.
As an Agile Delivery Manager your main responsibilities would be:
· Coach and mentor, the team, with focus on agile practices e.g. Scrum, Kanban, Lean.
· Create an environment of continuous improvement, by fostering an environment of psychological safety
· Work with the team to use metrics to support achieving a sustainable and predictable pace of delivery
· Contribute and support the delivery community
· Support teams with dependencies through unblocking of impediments and actively supporting retrospective action.
You’ll have relevant experience in:
- A record of accomplishment of delivering digital services at pace in complex agile environments across multiple phases
- Be an agile servant leader, coaching and leading the team in agile practices.
- Promote an inclusive culture of psychological safety in teams and managing team dynamics
- Have a proactive approach to learning and development of yourself and others.
Technical Skills required
- Be an excellent coach
- Advanced knowledge of agile approaches and frameworks
- Strong knowledge in Atlassian tools
- Have experience in commercial and budget management.
