Segment Marketing Manager – Pharma & Food
Location: Europe, North America, Malvern (UK), Almelo (the Netherlands) and the West Coast of America
Hybrid home based working considered.
Duration: Full Time
Hours: 37.5 (This role operates in a flexi-time scheme. Overtime is unpaid)

Our team focuses on developing the strategic roadmap and incentives by encompassing a global 'birds-eye view' for our complex projects
Below are a few to name:
- Analyse and report on Market Trends and Dynamics, Competition, and Customer insights such as Workflow / Application of different segments
- Tracking changes in regulatory requirements and provide business impact analysis.
- Defining the global market growth strategy and bring together cross-functional, cross-portfolio teams to execute the strategy.
- Identify and manage strategic collaborations with associations and KOLs to support both strategy development, execution, as well as new or adjacent market positioning.
- Provide direction and support to all marketing functions, product management and R&D as a segment expert with market insights and KOL engagement etc.
The Role
You'll lead in developing a 5-year strategic plan for a segment within our pharmaceutical and food division to deliver growth by addressing market drivers and customer requirements working with marketing, product management, sales, strategic account management and our R&D Teams.
What are your responsibilities?
Develop a deep understanding of the trends and opportunities within their market segment, including market size, key industry trends, solution and service requirements and customer pain point definition.
Work with sector sales and strategic account management to develop and maintain a network of Key Opinion Leaders within the Segment Division
Contribute to the product development roadmap owned by product management to establish sector and segment trends and requirements.
Support business growth across our customers' value chains by working with Marketing to develop a sector-strategic marketing plan and support the marketing team in the execution of associated campaigns
What do you need to be successful in this role?
- Bachelor’s degree in science or technology discipline. MSc, PhD or MBA are preferred
- Ideally 5+ years of experience in professional marketing environments within analytics to the pharmaceutical industry
- Proficiency in conducting market, competitor and customer research to gather insights and assess market opportunities
- Expertise in creating value propositions and messaging strategies to link product launches to organizational campaign themes
- Responsible for lead and influence cross-functional teams to deliver the strategy
- A proven track record of working across multi-disciplinary teams
- Comfortable working with technologies & scientists
- Ability to translate quantitative data into actionable recommendations
- Strong communicator, including presentation development and delivery skills
- Demonstrated skills in messaging and positioning offerings
Nice to Have
- Working background in Drug Discovery or Biologics development environments
- Another language, e.g. Chinese
