Job description
As Floor Team Member you will play an essential part in our guest’s journey, keeping the service smooth, the tables looking amazing, working hard to create a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere where our guests can enjoy the Freight Island experience.
You will report into the Manager on Duty
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering food and drink to the customer’s table
- Clearing customer’s tables of empty glasses and used and dirty crockery
- Keeping customer’s tables clean and clear of any rubbish or unwanted items
- Handling all guest questions and requests effectively
- Ensuring everyone is having a great Freight Island experience!
- Assisting the restaurant staff when required - this can be at the start of shift helping to set up, during shift relaying tables or end of shift helping to run drinks. We are one team!
- Checking the servers section plan, table plan and ensure tables are set accordingly (chairs neatly pushed under, matching furniture, beanbags laid out neatly, caddies straight, glassware polished and clean QR codes).
- Having full knowledge of the site including floor plans, directions, opening times, menus, events and contact information for the unit site, directors and traders.
- We work in a fast-paced environment, and we have to cover a lot of ground. It is expected that you work with a sense of urgency and take pride in the levels of service that you are giving both to our customers and to our vendors
Reporting to Operations Manager and FOH Management team
Key Working Relationships: Staffing Manager and Welfare Manager

Working Hours
Regular shifts will be available from Wednesday – Sunday on-site. Freight Island will be closed on a Monday and Tuesday.
