Job description

From initial greeting through to departure our professionally trained security team are here to help. They control access to the Village, assist with emergencies and ensure our guests have an enjoyable stay.

We hope our guests never need them, but knowing we have a Security team on call all year-round provides peace of mind and reassurance.

SECURITY OFFICER | £12.09 per hour

We are looking for a keen, cheerful and efficient Security Officer to work within a small team, responsible for the Security of our village. This role is paramount to our guests as you will represent their first impressions of Center Parcs. Duties will include welcoming guests, visitors and staff to the village on a daily basis, carrying out vehicle, cycle and foot patrols, conducting vehicle checks, escorting staff moving high volume items across the village, responding to emergencies including liaising with the emergency services and writing incident reports.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to remain calm under pressure, with the ability to communicate competently both verbally and in writing. A First Aid qualification is essential and full training will be given if necessary.

HOURS OF WORK

You will be contracted to work 168 hours per 4-week period on a flexible basis. This means that your days and hours of work could vary each week, but you will always receive at least your contracted hours each period. Shifts will be 12 hours and will either be 06:30am to 06:30pm or 06:30pm to 06:30am.

As our village is open 365 days of the year, your working hours will include weekends, public / bank holidays and during Christmas and / or New Year on a rota basis.

ABOUT YOU

Essential requirements:

  • SIA (Security Industry Authority) Door Supervisor Badge (full training will be provided if candidate does not hold this on application)
  • A Full UK Manual Driving Licence held for a minimum of 6 months
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Physically capable of carrying out the demands of the role
  • First Aid at Work Certificate (full training will be provided)
  • Able to perform well under pressure

Desirable requirements:

  • Previous experience of working in a Security environment would be an advantage
  • Previous customer service experience
  • A working knowledge of IT systems
