Key Responsibilities:
Corporate Accounting
- Assist in the allocation of invoices for the Direct Real Estate Portfolio that are incurred by Hazelview Properties.
- Maintain accurate reconciliation of allocated invoices using excel chargeback models.
- Provide quality control on various general ledger accounts.
Property Accounting
- Maintain accurate reconciliation of allocated invoices using excel chargeback models.
Revenue Accounting
- Assist in bank reconciliations and review residents ledgers.
Accounts Payable
- Processing invoices
- Understand various workflows
Job Requirements:
Education and Experience:
- Working towards a degree in Finance or Accounting from a recognized university/college.
- Solid grounding in financial concepts, corporate finance and accounting considered an asset
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
- Previous exposure to real estate industry, specifically multi- residential is considered an asset.

- Demonstrates a high degree of integrity, diplomacy, discretion, and confidentiality.
- Ability to accurately listen, understand and respond appropriately.
- Ability to work and act independently using good judgment.
- Ability to remain calm and focused on high pressure situations.
- Self-motivated individual who is proactive, takes initiative, goal and results oriented and work independently without a lot of direction.
- Superior organizational and time management skills to multi-task/prioritize and work under tight timelines to meet multiple deadlines.
- Flexible with a “can-do” and “no task is too big or too small” attitude.
- Superior attention to detail and accuracy and excellent follow-up skills.
- Excellent communication is required. Ability to speak other languages is considered an asset
