We are an exciting fashion start-up based in the heart of London.

We are a modern take of traditional tailoring for men and women. Allowing women to also experience Saville Row tailoring, the empowering aspect of a suit and its connotation. Elevating female tailoring from day to night. Allowing women to harness it's power.

We are a small team working closely together, from design, to PR/marketing, and sales.

You must have previous experience from a luxury market and be keen to work within a fast growth environment.

You will be part of a growing team, who will work together to proactively increase the customer base through a variety of client acquisition methods.

Job Description

We are looking to employ an experienced Seamstress to create garments including high-end, luxury couture dresses, blouses, blazers, skirts and trousers. You may also be asked to alter and repair customers garments on occasion. You should also be able to estimate the cost of constructing various garments, taking into account the amount of time and materials required.

To be successful as a Seamstress, you should demonstrate an extremely solid knowledge of various fabrics and sewing techniques, and be able to think outside the box and be solutions driven. Ultimately, an outstanding Seamstress should be able to achieve exceptional customer service and ensure that all tasks are completed in a timely manner.

Seamstress Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Proven sewing experience of an extremely high standard.
  • In depth knowledge of various fabrics and sewing techniques.
  • The ability to work under time constraints.
  • The ability to safely use different types of sewing machines.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Sound knowledge of pattern cutting

Seamstress Responsibilities:

  • Accurately measuring customers using tape measures to ensure proper fit of garments.
  • Full construction of garments with exceptional couture level finishing
  • Sampling
  • Ensuring that sewing machines and other equipment are in good working order.
  • Altering or repairing customers' garments and other articles, which includes hemming, mending, lengthening, as well as taking in and letting out seams.
  • Fitting garments on customers to determine how the alterations should be done.
  • Using irons and pressing machines to erase the creases on garments and other articles.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £20.00-£25.00 per hour
