Job description
Location: Chapel Hill, North Carolina, 27516
Start: Early-Mid August
Children: infant (5 & 7 year old part-time)
Pet(s): Dog & Cat
Compensation: $24-$28
Schedule: Monday-Friday between the hours of 7 am-6:30 pm, but typically around 8 am or 9 am-5 or 6 pm with at least one weekend day traded off each month for a weekday. *Note: The family will guarantee 30 hours weekly while mom is on maternity leave, then it will average 35 hours weekly after maternity leave. Hours may vary every week.
If you enjoy baby snuggles but can also switch gears seamlessly to work with school-age children, this position will be right up your alley! A family in Chapel Hill will be adding a 3rd addition to their family, with a baby due in July, and is seeking an engaging, flexible, and warm nanny to begin mid-late August, with some flexibility on the start date. They hope for a nanny who is laid back, yet routine-oriented, and adapts well to their children’s differing personalities. They would also love a collaborative partner who will ensure a smooth transition when mom returns to work after maternity leave.
Infant experience is a must, as the nanny will be primarily caring for the infant while their two oldest children (ages 5 & 7 at the start of the position) will be in school full-time. The two boys are sweet, active, and love being outside. The nanny will be responsible for school pickups/drop-offs for the 5 & 7 year old, as well as occasionally transporting them to activities. During the day, the nanny will be responsible for light housekeeping tasks, such as the children’s laundry.
The schedule for this position will be Monday-Friday between the hours of 7 am - 6:30 pm, but typically around 8 am or 9 am-5 or 6 pm with at least one weekend day traded off each month for a weekday. The family will guarantee 30 hours weekly while mom is on maternity leave, then it will average 35 hours weekly after maternity leave. Hours may vary week to week. The family does have a dog and a cat in the home, so pet lovers are encouraged to apply! Mom and dad are both physicians with demanding schedules, so it is important to them that their nanny be reliable and understanding. They are hoping for a long-term commitment.
