As a Pharmacy Assistant within Aseptics, you will have the chance to participate in the cleaning and preparation of the Aseptic Unit and its equipment and supplies ready for the compounding of sterile products in accordance with the principals of Good Manufacturing Practice. All whilst gaining valuable experience and expanding your pharmaceutical knowledge in cancer medicines. Each site will provide unique insights and opportunities to collaborate with our fabulous teams.
We will support you in qualifying for your Pharmacy Services Assistant Level 3 apprenticeship over the course of 24 months, providing you with the necessary training and development opportunities and giving you an extra qualification and full-time employment as a band 4.
The course will be challenging and will require you to partake in exams and study in your own time so an aptitude to learning will be required.

Due to this being an apprenticeship you can only apply if you meet the criteria:
- Have the equivalent of A-C or 9 to 4at GCSE Level in English and Math
- You cannot be considered A-Levels or Degrees within the Science
To participate in the compounding of aseptically prepared products mainly cytotoxics and clinical trials.
To assist in the maintenance of adequate stock levels of raw materials and sundries required for compounding
To input prescription information using the Pharmacy Computer system
To assist in the use of computerised stock control system and maintain accurate stock levels
To assist in maintaining the integrity of the production environment, in compliance with standard operating procedures and Good Manufacturing Practice
To participate in the distribution of pharmaceuticals to the end users
To help maintain all necessary logs, files and records
To assist in the gathering of statistical information
