Job description
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our retail team. Primarily working in the Houseplant, Gift, Clothing, Card and Pet Departments you will need to be a self starter who likes interacting with customers and assisting them with their purchases. Previous retail experience is essential and knowledge or an interest in houseplants would be desirable.
You will often be working in shops on your own and carrying out a range of tasks including selling, merchandising, stock replenishment, picking internet orders, taking care of houseplants, answering the phone, using scanners and computers etc. You will be on your feet for the entire shift (excluding breaks) and involved in manual handling. Working in and doing tasks for other departments within the garden centre is also common practice and team members go to any department where they are needed. We are predominantly an outdoor environment working in all weathers!
Team need to be flexible and there will be overtime required to help cover holiday periods.
The role exceeds minimum wage. Paid monthly.
