The Opportunity
The DCFX Europe’s Sales & Trading Trainee Programme provides young talent the opportunity to learn more about DCFX Europe’s Financial Markets Sales and Trading operations. The aim of this programme is to upskill talent and prepare you for future roles in our organisation. During the programme you will gain hands-on experience in the day-to-day role as a salesperson or trader on the desk.After this, you will start your first rotation, being assigned to Sales & Trading desk within Financial Markets. A senior member from within Financial Markets will be assigned to you as your designated mentor, who will not only guide you during day-to-day tasks, but will also coach you personally.
Our Sales & Trading Trainee Programme should be:
- Ideally Undergraduate or Masters educated in a mathematics / finance / economics / engineering field;
- Genuinely passionate about the financial markets industry;
- Aware and have a comprehensive understanding of the current global economic landscape;
- Aspiring towards a career within Financial Markets (Sales & Trading);
- Able to show a wider skillset with experience gained via years abroad, participation in sports or doing voluntary work, for example.
- You must have the right to work in the UK.
- Be able to use Microsoft Office 365 effectively especially Outlook and Excel.
What is Financial Market Sales?
Global Sales provide both flow and highly bespoke financial solutions to clients. The Global Sales is structured to reflect the differing needs of our client investment. DCFX Europe is adapting a prime brokerage model of long-term broker-client relationships to show how we facilitate trade for clients by acting as a principal brokerage firm. Financial Market Sales related knowledge training will be covering in the FX, Futures, Commodity, Indices and Equities. Whilst the role is very hands on and focuses on independent work, you will have the support from the rest of the DCFX Trading team.
What is Financial Markets Trading?
Financial Markets Trading manages risk and covers flow for our client orders by interacting closely with the Sales desk and other market participants. Trading manages portfolios out of new and existing daily market risks.Rotation areas Financial Markets Trading:• Foreign Exchange• Futures• Commodities• Equity Derivatives• Indices
