Available Job Today We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and professional Sales & Purchase Ledger Assistant to join our Finance team at our site based in Farningham. The ideal candidate will have previous administration and accounts experience and must be happy to work in a fast-paced environment. Due to the location of the role, access to your own transport would be required.

What does the job involve?

  • Raising and processing sales invoices and reporting sales data
  • Assisting in the production of reliable accounts payable information
  • Reconciliation of monthly debtors, creditors, bank and intercompany balances
  • Liaising with suppliers, departments and directors
  • Preparing the payment runs to meet company payment schedules
  • Daily bank reconciliations
  • Assisting procurement team with analysis and approval of supplier invoices

  • Accuracy, strong attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines and achieve targets
  • Ability to work on your own initiative as well as supporting the team
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Determined and driven with a strong desire to achieve results
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build good working relationships with colleagues
  • Knowledge and aptitude to using and advancing Microsoft Office skills.
  • AAT Level 4 qualified
  • Ability to work additional or flexible hours as and when required by the business
  • Previous experience of the retail, wholesale, food service business, food manufacturing, and food hygiene would be an advantage

Working hours

Monday to Friday 08.00 until 17.00 (42.5 hours per week)
