Reporting to the General Manager RVSC this role is primarily focussed on the sales of vehicles and accessories whilst providing exceptional customer service. The RVSC goal is growth over the next 5 years to become the number 1 provider of Motorhomes in the UK and we are in an exciting time of our history with ambitious growth plans.
The fundamentals of the role are to enable the department in its goal of being high performance and growth into new markets using all available tools at your disposal. Selling the ex-hire fleet at the required volumes is the cornerstone of the sales volume required whilst taking every opportunity to sell used approved stock.
The measures of effectiveness will sit with quality and financial KPI’s all of which will be communicated in time for the coming period of measurement.

Staff
- Have a smart appearance reflective of the high value nature of our sales line up
- Support the progress chaser in their progression and skillset
- Engage in the ongoing and improving health and safety measures in the department

- Maintain appropriate working conditions and equipment for yourself
- Attend and engage in your monthly reviews and annual PDR’s

Stock
- Ensure all sales stock is presented to the highest standard at all times
- Ensure all stock is advertised at all times accurately across all platforms
- Carry out a weekly competitor review in regard to pricing and submit to National Sales Manager
- Dress all sales vehicles in accordance with the RV supercentre standards
- Maintain stock security at all times
- Support all depts with the 72-hour turnaround of hire vehicle to sales
- Liaise with aftersales to ensure all sold vehicles are prepared to the customers’ requirements on time
- Liaise with aftersales to ensure all sold vehicles have the accessories fitted on time
- Upload all warranty changes in the portal to reflect the new owner within 72 hours of delivery
- Report any issues to aftersales with our sales line up immediately, remedy yourself where possible
- Effectively sell stock in the volumes budgeted (or better) ensuring our ex hire fleet number is the primary focus
- Drive accessory sales and support the department with new and innovative ideas around new products
Customers
- Ensure customer satisfaction is at the core everything you do
- Answer all calls into the department and facilitate a great outcome for the caller
- Record all incoming enquiries into HubSpot
- Record all communications in HubSpot
- Carry out test drives with prospective clients
- Take orders on vehicles with accuracy and full detail
- Utilise all tools to drive trust and revenue (C it Now)
- Accurately appraise customers part exchange vehicles
- Maintain effective communication both pre- and post-sale
- Provide regular and timely updates to customers at all times
- Upsell accessories to sales customers at point of order and throughout their sales journey
- Utilise all available tools to effectively market the customer base for future sales (prospecting)
- Ensure fact-based responses are delivered to all customer queries
- Ensure that all forms of communication are responded to within agreed sla’s
- Effectively receive, manage, resolve and record any customer complaints and feedback and escalate where appropriate
- Attend trade shows and exhibitions where required
- Drive the performance of the department through enquiry management, tenacity and salesmanship
Person Specification
- Proven experience of working in an effective sales environment
- Ability to coach and support junior team members in best practice
- Knowledge of customer service principles and practices
- Confident telephone manner
- Great interpersonal skills
- Good data entry and typing skills, paired with knowledge of I.T & Microsoft packages
- Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service
- Business focus and a desire to succeed beyond what is expected
- Resilient and flexible and able to work in a fast paced, dynamic and demanding workplace
- Good attention to detail with excellent planning and organisation skills
- Flexibility to respond to a variety of work situations
