Purpose:
Here at the Deichmann UK Head Office we are looking to recruit a Sales Coordinator.



Within this department, you will report into the Sales Project Manager and will be responsible for the supervison of our Sales Coordination Assistant .

As a Sales Coordinator, you will be responsible for the coordination of the Sales Coordination function, including the creation of internal communications to stores, maintaining and developing processes and procedures relative to Operational activity across the business.

You will additionally support the wider function of Visual Merchandising and Omnichannel to include supporting projects & new initiatives essential to the growth of the business and achievement of strategic objectives.

Ideal candidate:
The ideal candidate will have at least two years’ work experience in a setting using a wide range of Operational/Sales techniques and concepts.

You will have ideally worked in a sales co-ordination role in a retail setting or similar.

We are also looking for someone with at least one year of experience managing/supervising others.

Key activities:
  • Timely creation & circulation of internal communications to stores on a weekly, monthly, and ad hoc basis i.e. Weekly News, ensuring information is accurate, operationally focused & aligned with corporate design and standards.
  • Developing the use of social media to cascade corporate messages to the business via daily, weekly and monthly posts using material gathered from across the business.
  • Creating new store ‘layouts’ as and when required, ensuring that instructions for implementation are issued to stores in a timely manner.
  • Creating and reviewing policies, procedures, forms & E-learning modules relative to store operations.
  • Supporting new store openings, liaising with Operations & Other HO Departments as required to ensure all activities associated with a new store opening are planned and implemented in a timely manner.
  • Assisting with planning and implementation of events, conferences, regional meetings and celebrations, in line with budgets i.e. annual conference, regional meetings, 100% club etc.
  • Liaising with colleagues across the group relative to strategic projects and involvement in initiatives as needed.
  • Developing SMART objectives for the Sales Coordination function in support of the strategic plan, reviewing performance again these on a regular basis, putting proposals forward for future developments to support and sustain the business.
  • Overseeing the ongoing development of the District Manger iPad application ensuring appropriate training is delivered to users.
  • Supporting the Customer feedback process, by reviewing existing arrangements, where appropriate make recommendations for upgrading or replacement and overseeing any adjustments or implementation of new packages.
  • Supporting the continued development of the Visual Merchandising Manual including digitalisation of same when appropriate
  • Supervising the day-to-day work of the Sales Coordination Assistant.
  • Ensuring that all promotions, sales, and marketing initiatives are communicated effectively and in a timely manner to stores and are aligned to corporate standards.
  • Attending monthly Window planning meetings.

Personal characteristics:
  • Educated to A level or have equivalent work experience at same level in a business, retail, or operations setting
  • Be an excellent communicator written & verbal.
  • Be able to think creatively and commercially.
  • Highly organised with good attention to detail
  • Able to work effectively on own or as one of a team with diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to prioritise to meet deadlines.
  • Be able to present content confidently to senior colleagues.
  • Have strong IT skills including Microsoft Office365 packages in particular Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Have analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Have experience creating material/instructions of a complex nature for distribution to multiple sites via email where attention to detail has been critical.

Salary/Pay:
