Job description
We're a small delicatessen based in Gomersal, with a range of artisan food and drink products. We also have a small cafe and we are looking for a confident, outgoing person who is going to bring new and fresh ideas to the deli.
Your role -
You will start your role as a sales assistant, with full training in all aspects of the job including both retail and food/drink side. This role has the potential to turn into a supervisor position. We all work together as a team and do not have specific jobs for specific people therefore your initial sales assistant role includes, but is not limited to -
- using EPOS till
- preparing coffees and other hot drinks
- preparing food
- cleaning
- helping customers with any queries
- working any events we hold, both in the shop and at other venues
You must -
- Have good communication skills
- Have a passion for food and drink
- Be self motivated
- Have excellent organisation skills
- Be computer literate
- Be able to work to the needs of the business
- Be flexible
- Be able to work weekends and during the holiday periods – this is essential
- Have a fun, bubbly personality and be confident in a customer facing role
Ideal but not essential attributes-
- Barista training/experience with an espresso machine
- Experience working in a café/restaurant
- Retail experience
- Knowledge of food and drink
You will be contracted to a 16 hour part time contract, with flexibility for overtime/shift covering. Set shifts will be Wednesday to Sunday, pay will be dependent on age and experience.
Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 16 per week
Salary: £7.85-£10.50 per hour
