Learning & Development Specialist – HR Capability & Change Projects Support

Position Summary
We have a great position for Learning & Development Specialist focusing on HR capability and Change Projects to join Nestle UK& I in the Learning & Development Team. You will develop and steer the HR Capability plan as part of the broader UK&I L&D strategy and in support of the business strategy. Partnering with the HR function to assess capability gaps, design and develop solutions which build capability to meet business needs.
This role will also support selected business change projects, providing expertise in the areas of change management and team development as required. Working closely with regional L&D Centre of Competence to fully leverage and influence regional and global solutions, you will act as "voice of the market" to ensure NiM market learning needs are continuously met.
A day in the life of a L&D Specialist HR Capability & Change Projects
Working with subject matter experts in the HR function, you will oversee the infrastructure that enables us to build world class capability. You will also act as a subject matter expert for change management and team development to support HRBP's with agreed change projects. You will consult with key members of the function, define learning needs and develop tailored resources and experiences utilising internal resources and, where required external support
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and drive the use of competency frameworks across HR areas to build capability
- Understand, assess, and report Market’s Learning needs and priorities in HR Capability based on the output of competency matrices, local business needs and people strategies (MBS, OMP). Develop tailored learning plans to address

- Build strong relationships with regional L&D centre of competence and global HR capability contacts to influence direction of capability building for HR and fully leverage "above the market" solutions
- Lead the governance process of annual capability planning in conjunction with key functional stakeholders
- Manage the allocated budget for Coaching and Mentoring in line with Dynamic Forecasting guidelines and targets
What will make you successful?
As the successful candidate, you will have experience of leading change projects and driving capability building. You will also have experience in helping teams to develop. Experience of working within the HR function s considered a bonus.
You will have;
- Experience of running a capability building infrastructure including use of competency tools, assessment, and creation of function wide "master plan" of learning interventions to close gaps
- 2 to 5 years of experience in the design and delivery of learning solutions addressed to a multiple target of learners (including senior leaders).
- Application of modern learning principles (immersive, learner centric, flipped classrooms)
- Previous experience with business/cross-functional stakeholder engagement and alignment with a good understanding of the business
- A strong understanding of team dynamics and team coaching principles
- Expertise in change management theory and application, leveraging key Nestle models and having external connections to continue to leverage best practice
- Knowledge of experiential and business focused learning methodologies
- High level communication and facilitation skills: concise and focused communication
- Ability to network with colleagues working in different geographical areas
- Ability to leverage the opportunities generated by the digital learning technologies
