Saleroom Supervisor

£25,000 to £27,000 per annum* + Discretionary Annual Bonus

Working hours:

  • Full Time, Tuesday – Saturday, 8:30am - 5:00pm.
  • Daily 1 hour break (15 - minute morning break, 30 - minute lunch break, 15 - minute afternoon break)
  • 37.5 Hours/week (overtime available)

Salary/Pay:

  • £25,000 to £27,000 annual salary* permanent full-time career. *Higher tier salary is applicable following a successful 3 month probation period and ongoing performance appraisal in line with our high performing behaviours.

Job Purpose:

To manage and lead the operational function of the saleroom(s) throughout the auction cycle. To maintain the most efficient working processes and to consistently strive for continuous improvement through motivation, training and development of the Porters and Team leaders. To support and assist, as required, Sale Room Managers.

Qualification, Skills & Experience required:

  • Experience of running a team is essential as are good written and verbal communication and listening skills.
  • A proven ability to plan, prioritise and organise workload.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Great people management/interpersonal skills.
  • Able to communicate effectively at all levels within the business.
  • People development, experience of conducting monthly appraisals and conducting training with staff.
  • Effective delegation and time management skills.
  • Able to evaluate team performance, provide feedback and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Setting, reviewing and achieving daily performance targets.
  • Competent in using basic Microsoft IT functions (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
