About you
We're looking for an Stock Controller to join our CPU. This is the chance to be a part of something innovative, inspirational and exciting.
The Role:
We are currently recruiting for a Goods Inwards/Stores Person to join us on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will Perform an array of functions that may include receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organising, and retrieving stock in the warehouse. Specifically utilising in-house computer systems for all aspects of inventory control.
Key Responsibilities:
- Primarily responsible for overseeing the daily, overall operations within warehouse
- Organising delivery schedule according to current lead times and weekly usage
- Tracking shipments and coordinating internal stock transfers, as well as resolving delays
- Placing and receiving orders to replenish stocks as needed.
- Maintaining and updating daily shipment records, as well as purchases and pricing reports.
- Checking and maintaining orders quality
- Processes orders and oversees cycle of order fulfilment.
- Responsible for making sure supplies, stock, materials, packages, and/or products are processed through the delivery and/or warehouse system efficiently and safely.
- Maintains records, resolves and adjusts discrepancies during the stock taking process
- Assist operations in inventory processes such as weekly stock counts, audit of warehouses.
- Prepare for arrival of deliveries
- Ensuring all stocks are accurately allocated
- Ensuring all damages/wastages occurs during picking and delivery are accurately recorded
- Stock Control
- Recognise any errors in paperwork, including identifying potential stores errors (with internal orders, pick lists)
- Run weekly stock reports for management/finance teams
- Liasing with Warehouse Team Leader to ensure servicing for all warehouse equipment are up to date and documented
- Liasing with Dispatch and Distribution Team to ensure that everything requested for stores is supplied in the required time
Our requirements:
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment, inventory, goods in, stock control and picking for orders.
- Ability to work in a team or individually
- ‘Can do’, hands-on and proactive attitude
- Good time keeping skills
- Good numeracy and communication skills with a good command of the English language, both written and spoken
- Flexible to work various hours on shift rota basis, including weekends and evenings
- Numerate and computer literate in standard IT packages (purpose of booking in and out etc.)
