The Cashier will provide service at the cash register and will be responsible for ringing customers up and collecting payment using cash and card payment systems. Previous cash handling experience is a plus but not required. Providing excellent customer service is a must. The Cashier will handle money, operate a cash register and bag items when necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Count money in exchange for a product or service.
- Be efficient, but spend enough time with each customer to build rapport and earn their business.
- Keep a clean area around the register and backroom.
- Answer questions about products and availability of promotions.
- Allow a reasonable line of customers at the register to avoid creating lines in the middle of the store.
- Stay in communication with other store employees.
- Try to accept as many forms of payments as possible to increase revenue for the company.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 40 per week
Salary: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
