Job description
We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our shop floor team working in a busy Retail Environment. This job involves handling large volumes of heavy produce therefore a high degree of physical fitness is required. To be successful in this role you must be willing to work efficiently to a high standard, we are not a 'stand still' workforce.
Permanent contract will be offered only after a four week probation period.
Part-time (16+ hours) to include one or two weekend shifts, overtime always available. Shifts will vary between:
Monday-Sunday 5pm-10.30pm.
Saturday & Sunday 8am-5pm/12-5pm.
Overtime may be available Monday-Friday daytime if suitable but not a requirement for this role.
Role Responsibilities
*Awareness of customer needs and provide excellent customer services.
*Provide up to date advice on our product range, promotions and special offers.
*Maintain store cleanliness & hygiene standards.
*Unloading and unpacking deliveries.
*Adhere to store merchandising standards
*Till duties including cash handling, credit/debit card payment, lottery & paypoint transactions.
Essential Skills/Requirements
*One years experience in a similar retail setting.
*Excellent customer service skills.
*Ability to work as part of a team.
*Have a good work ethic and 'can do' attitude.
*Ability to act on own initiative.
*Good attendance and punctuality.
*Good numeracy & accuracy skills.
*Flexibility to work nights and weekends.

Salary: Up to £9.50 per hour
