As a Junior Power BI Developer in Asda Brand you will play a critical role in ensuring that our team have data to support them making decisions that benefit our 18 million customers each week. Working in the Asda brand team means that you will be able to work with data surrounding food safety, quality, product development, innovation, health and sustainability, as well as the performance of our products and our suppliers. We don't wait to make good things happen so providing our teams with proactive analysis to support the identification of trends and understanding what our customers are telling us is key. Your Role
- Produce reports and dashboards in Microsoft dynamics using Power BI, reviewing, and validating the data to ensure reports and dashboards or accurate.
- Gather requirements for reports and analysis based on business needs or available data sources, to truly understand how the data will be used to allow for data led decisions at pace.
- Engage with various teams and stakeholders to understand our data gaps and future data needs to build a program of development to support the own brand function.
- Provide training, support and sharing of knowledge to the wider team to support them with using and getting the most out of our data and our Microsoft tools.
- Work on problems of diverse scope which requires analysis of information and pulling data sources from various systems.
- Producing MI and BI reports for key stakeholders across the business.
About you
Essential
- Relevant experience in business intelligence, IT support, data science or analytics.
- Extensive knowledge and experience of Power BI.
- Experience writing and modifying SQL queries.
- Experience in both producing dashboards and reports for analysis, presenting findings and making recommendations to stakeholders.
- Willingness to develop new skills and try new things. Asda is going through a huge technology transformation project and the tools available may change as we go through this. We dare to try and tomorrow's tools may not be today's tools.
- You will have the confidence and expertise to communicate with knowledge and passion across all stakeholders, we love what we sell and we want everyone to know it. With the ability to translate requirements into action and present findings to a non-technical audience.
- The ability to prioritise and flex to business needs, we don't wait to make good stuff happen, so an ability to risk assess and think bigger picture.
- We put our customers at the heart of everything and you will seek to understand their concerns and requirements and be the voice of the customer in your interactions.
Desirable
- Experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, and Microsoft Azure.
- Experience blending data and managing a data model.
