The Ebrington Hotel is now seeking to recruit Reservations Staff for their premises, Ebrington Square, Derry-Londonderry:

Reservations Staff – Job Details

Salary: Competitive

Hours of work: 40 hours per week

Main Duties and Responsibilities

· Assist in achieving guest satisfaction and rooms revenue goals by supporting the Front Office operation.

· Assist in ensuring that Front Office is staffed according to need by providing business forecasts to schedule employees.

· Assist in the prompt and courteous check-in and check-out of guests, and address questions or problems regarding guest rooms and rates.

· Assist in planning for meetings and special events by meeting with individual customers and group organizers.

· Assist in ensuring effective key control and participate in matters relating to guest room security.

· Ensure that guest mail and messages are delivered promptly by assisting with mail and message delivery.

· Deal with guest comments, both compliments and complaints, and develop strategies to improve the level of service.

· Initiate activities to improve guest service and efficiency in Front Office operations.

· Check front office equipment regularly and maintain front office supplies.

· Ensure proficiency in all Front Office procedures to be a resource when needed.

· Challenge front office staff to utilize yield management, occupancy, and average room rate to maximize rooms revenue.

· Assist in co-ordinating billing with the accounting department.

· Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Essential Criteria

· Minimum of 2 years' experience in a reservations role in a 4/5 star hotel operation.

· Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and provide excellent customer service.

· Strong communication skills and the ability to work under pressure.

· Demonstrated ability to use reservation systems and software.

· Experience in analysing reservation data and making recommendations to improve room occupancy and revenue.

Desirable Criteria

· Background in a busy hotel environment
