Hello!

We are a small local building company (8 staff) based in Edinburgh who carry out internal home renovations looking to hire someone on a very flexible freelance basis. We understand this is quite a varied role, however it would be great to have someone join the team and work with us on a long term basis going forward.

Aim for the role

To create and be in charge of all marketing, social media and photography of the business - with a goal of improving our leads from both general public and social media followers ( architects, interior designers, other businesses) This is a completely new role and has previously only been carried out by different staff as and when spare time.

Responsibilities/Duties

• Be in charge of all social media accounts- SOCIAL BEE, posting storys, posts, reels, Informative design posts
• In charge of Our website gallery and uploading - This would be to stay on top of uploading the gallery pages and the "recent project" page creating and designing into relevant projects "edinburgh renovation" etc
• In charge of ad-hoc design/branding jobs purchasing and setting up - Such as - designing a leaflet, designing brochures, designing banners, Creating sample mood boards for displays as and when required (graphic design background/interest would be great)
• Photography of before- middle and end of house renovations ( which will be used for the social media, websites and promotional design)
• Videography of renovations, staff carrying out work and "meet the teams"
• Social media content creating, through the use of Reels, Tiktoks , photography and designs
• Creating weekly Blogs on current trends and uploading to website (Interior design, decoration, New methods of joinery etc
• Travelling to different properties in Edinburgh to capture the content
• Employee will be given Uniform, Company Email address, Office and computer space to use anytime they need.
• Plus any other ideas you may have !!- We are more than happy to be guided by someone who would like to make this role there own and run it/manage there schedule however they think is best for the business to improve leads and overall brand of the business

Information

• Freelance basis
• Must have own Camera/video equipment
• Very flexible hours ( for example may want to do 3 days 1 week and none the next- Very flexible. Some weeks may be busier than others, for example if we have three jobs on at the same time.
• Approximate hours - We think as a guide a minimum of 40 hours per month would be required. This may not be the case and we are happy to monitor it if we think more or less is needed as we go along.
• Monthly Pay
• Negotiable hourly rate (depending on experience)
