Job description
Applications are invited for a Researcher to work within the Clinical Informatics and Health Outcomes Research group led by Prof. Simon de Lusignan, the director of the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP) Research and Surveillance Centre (RSC). The team is based at the Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences.
You will have completed a PhD/DPhil (or are close to completion) and be enthusiastic about undertaking high-impact quantitative work using electronic health data, developing manuscripts and contributing to publications. You will also have a track record of learning new methodologies, developing statistical models, and having a good working knowledge of modern applied statistical techniques and analysing routine healthcare data sets for research purposes.
This post offers an opportunity to work in infectious disease epidemiology. Our current research focuses on several disease areas, including flu and COVID-19 surveillance, COVID-19 vaccine effectiveness, cardiovascular and diabetes, asthma, chronic kidney disease and other long-term conditions, and consultation behaviours.
