The Department of Geography in the College of Social Sciences & Public Policy (COSSPP).
Responsibilities
The Geography Department seeks a 12-month Salaried Research Faculty I.
Dr. Chris Uejio’s team seeks candidates who specialize in climate change and human health, health disparities, and/or spatial or temporal analysis. Salary and benefits are highly competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated commitment to sustaining a research agenda in Health Geography and/or Applied Climatology. Publication of research in outlets appropriate to the candidate’s specialty is expected.
The candidate will work on funded projects (e.g., Centers for Disease Control and Prevention; National Academy of Sciences Gulf Research Program; National Aeronautics and Space Administration).

Qualifications
A Master’s degree in Geography or a closely related field is required. This is a 12-month position that will be housed in Dr. Uejio’s laboratory group in the Department of Geography. Prospective candidates should be able to demonstrate future promise based on their accomplishments to date and stated future professional goals. The candidate will work on funded projects (e.g., Centers for Disease Control and Prevention; National Academy of Sciences Gulf Research Program; National Aeronautics and Space Administration).
