This is done by delivering a first-class physical activity experience through projects, initiatives, programmes and working with external partners to enable everyone the opportunity to be more physically active and live healthier lifestyles.
To support the delivery our new strategy of ‘More People, More Active’, we are seeking to recruit an experienced Operations Manager to ensure safe, inclusive and engaging delivery of sport and physical activity across our Walsall and City Campus sports facilities.
You will be responsible for the effective operational functioning of all commercial sports facilities across the university estate. The management of physical resources will be key to this, as will the oversight of processes and procedures designed to ensure a sector leading sports provision.
You will have responsibility for all operating activities including (but not exclusively) the efficient programming of facilities, customer membership and retention, health and safety management and events management. Furthermore, you will possess excellent leadership ability and have the capability to create a high-performing environment within the operational management team to assist in achieving our ambitious targets as a sports department.
