Find excellence with us
You were born to provide brilliant animal care and we do that by empowering brilliant people like you. Join the IVC Evidensia Graduate Academy 2023 and find the very best start to your Veterinary career.
About us
Traditional site in a beautiful area, but recently renovated to a high clinical standard. Modern blood machines, x-ray processing, scanning. Plans for expansion underway so exciting time to join the team as many opportunities for training, specialism etc. Really lovely, closely bonded team - one big family.
We have 7 Vets, 5 RVNs, 2 SVNs, 3 ACA's, 3 receptionists, manager and an assistant manager. One Vet about to commence training in Advanced Surgery and Orthopaedics. CPD and specialist training encouraged and funded. We take part in local promotional events, such as Dog Lovers Show. We are the Vets who work alongside local Dog Day Care and grooming services.
About the role
Your normal hours of work are 40 hours per week, 4 days a week. Due to the particular needs of the business we need to operate a rota system, therefore there are no normal times of work applicable to you and your daily hours, start and finish times will vary from time to time on a rota system. The rota operates Monday to Friday inclusive. In addition, you will also be required to participate in a Saturday rota.
100% Small Animal role.
Our new graduate will be assigned a coach and given time each week for meetings, etc. You will spend time with all of the Vets to learn from them. The first six months will involve more intense coaching and this will be gradually reduced giving the candidate more responsibility to work on their own. All of this will be judged according to your pace of learning and requirements. You will be given allocated time to attend grad school and admin time for training needs. It is hoped that our graduate will be working independently and confidently in consults and theatre in the first year.
Applicant Requirements
We are looking for a new Graduate Veterinary Surgeon, eligible to register with the RCVS.
