Candidates should be qualified to degree level or commensurate experience. You should already have developed significant relevant experience of working successfully in a busy administrative environment, ideally in higher education working with students. Candidates should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written) and strong IT skills. The work will require close attention to detail, together with accurate data inputting skills and a questioning mind to pick up possible issues when dealing with student data. This post is not a secretarial role.

The successful candidate will undertake a varied portfolio of duties, primarily focused on the administration associated with the support and management of undergraduate and postgraduate students at the University, from registration through to graduation. We also offer a student facing role on campus in term time, during the main registration periods and at graduation ceremonies.

Due to the nature of the post, much of the training provided is through gaining valuable on-the-job experience throughout the academic cycle. The successful candidate will be provided with appropriate support and guidance.

Salary will be at the appropriate point on Grade 5, £31,396 - £34,980 per annum, with placement according to qualifications and experience.

Informal enquiries can be made to Yvonne Gordon, Deputy Academic Registrar, [email protected] , or Alyson Whyte, Lead Registry Officer [email protected].

This post does not meet the minimum requirements for visa sponsorship under the Skilled Worker Route. We are therefore unable to consider applicants for this post that require sponsorship to work in the UK.
