We are currently recruiting Band 5 registered Mental Health Nurse looking to pursue and develop their careers within our Mental Health Services for Older People Inpatient Services. We are a forward thinking, dynamic and supportive service which is constantly evolving. We are keen to develop our newly qualified nurse by providing training and learning opportunities to enhance their skills and promote professional progression. We promise to support nurses through a preceptorship framework which enables nurses to widen their learning through a supportive model. We have an array of services within inpatient care and offer numerous opportunities for newly qualified staff to expand their knowledge in a variety of clinical areas.
Post holders will be RMN Nurses with a special interest and real passion for working with patients with dementia and functional illness.
We are seeking enthusiastic, highly motivated and compassionate nurses to join our existing teams, to provide high quality of care.
Internal shift rotation is in operation including nights, twilights, weekends and bank holidays.

In this role your main duties will include:
Being part of a supportive multidisciplinary team.
Advocate for your patient as a primary nurse.
Support your patients by developing and implementing intervention plans.
Build confidence and competence in administering medication.
Assess risk and implement risk assessment management and safety plans.
Use excellent communication skills to build rapport and de-escalate.
Assess and support your patients mental and physical health.
Provide a therapeutic and safe environment to aid recovery.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
