Priory Hospital Enfield is a 53 bed hospital in the Borough of Enfield and is situated with very good transport links. The site provides services in both a forensic setting (male medium secure & low secure) and acute services (mixed sex). The hospital can cater for up to 53 patients at one time across four wards.

We are looking for a qualified RMN or RGN for the role of Physical Health Nurse at Priory Hospital Enfield. The role is to oversee the physical health of all of our patients across the hosptial. The successful candidate will have a passion for physical health and have a proactive approach to encouraging our patients to maintain healthy lifestyles.
The role includes liaising with the ward nursing staff to ensure patients are having their daily physical healthchecks completed, and also ensuring the ward staff and patients are aware of any outpatient appointments.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing blood testing as required, linking in with our local GP surgery and hospital services to ensure referrals are made for our patients as and when required. The role also includes liaising and arranging on site visits with our external healthcare professionals such as dentists, opticians and chiropodists.
All of our patients have a physical health profile which the successful candidate will be responsible for keeping up to date, which will be recording when health checks and screenings were last done and when they are due again. There is the opportunity to deliver educational sessions to our patients on the benefits of living a healthy lifestyle and training and developing our current workforce in the latest techniques and NICE approved guidelines for physical health.
