The hospital provides a 38 bed Rehabilitation and recovery service over 3 locked access wards. Our service users are adults with endurig mental health needs who can also present with behaviours that challenge and physical health care needs. We are comissioned by NHS services nationally and have establised a solid clinical reputation for providing quality care and treatment, meeting the needs of individuals with a range of diagnosis (such as Schizophrenia, Schizo- affective disorder, Huntingtons Disease, acquired brain injury and dementia),
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and engaging Registered General Nurse to join a dynamic and progressive team, including a General Practitioner (GP), who visits the hospital weekly, to provide physical health care services across three adult wards. Our Physical Health Care Nurse is an integral part of our Multi Disciplinary Team (MDT) and will provide support and expertise to the wider care team to ensure that patients have their physical healthcare nursing needs identified, care planned and evaluated in accordance with best practice and clinical evidence.
Our Physical Healthcare Nurse will provide advice and support to colleagues regarding physical health care needs and will have access to all NHS specialist services such as district nursing, tissue viability, diabetic services and many more.
The successful candidate will need to be a qualified RGN, hold current NMC Registration and ideally have a minimum of two years post registration experience and be the site lead for Infection Prevention and Control.
